New Life Devotional
Jesus came into the world and lived the life of a human being thus experienced temptation, pain, hunger, thirst, sorrow and death, in order that we might receive a new meaningful life. John 10:10 says “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” God desires that everybody be somebody – complete, mature, adjusted, and righteous. His love is always reaching out to accomplish this. “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” (1 John 4:9)
God created man in his own image but gave him the freedom to choose. Man has chosen his own will and way and separated himself from God. That which separates us from God is sin. The Bible describes man as a guilty sinner. The whole man is separated from God and enslaved by sin and death, for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Man has constantly tried to bridge the gap that separates him from God. He has tried good work, religion, and philosophy, but all have failed. We are all as unclean things and our righteousness is as filthy rags, but by grace, we are saved through faith and not by ourselves. This is the Gift of God.
The new life became ours when we turn from sin and receive Christ as Lord and Savior. “But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believed on his name .” (John1:12). That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Salvation Prayer Devotional
Our Father, I come to you right now in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, you said in your word in Romans 10:9-10 “that if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.” Lord, I believe! You also said in your word in Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Lord, I’m calling upon you right now. I confess my sins to you right now. I am a sinner. I have sinned and come short of your glory. Lord Jesus, please forgive me of all my sins, wrongdoings, and shortcomings. Wash me with your blood Jesus and cleanse me from all sin. Renew the right spirit within me. Oh Lord, I acknowledge your spirit and your love in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
Make A Difference Devotional
To receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, the Bible says “that if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10) To receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, sincerely pray this prayer from your heart:
In your name, dear Jesus, I believe that you died for me and that you rose again on the third day. I confess to you that I am a sinner and that I need your love and forgiveness. Come into my life; forgive my sins and give me eternal life. I confess to you now as my Lord. Thank you for my salvation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
